Our client, an innovative UK-based manufacturing business specializing in sustainable battery production for electric vehicles is currently looking to hire a Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying high-value prospects, qualifying leads, and advancing them through the sales pipeline before handing off to the technical team for solution development.
The Sales Manager will:
* Own the front end of the sales process, focusing on lead identification, outreach, and qualification.
* Conduct proactive outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking to drive new business opportunities.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to align customer needs with product solutions.
* Work with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to track engagement, optimize follow-ups, and measure success.
* Act as the initial point of contact, overcoming objections and creating urgency to move deals forward.
The Sales Manager will have:
* Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
* Experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or business development—preferably in EV, automotive, battery technology, or energy sectors.
* Proven hunter mindset with a strong ability to generate and qualify leads from scratch.
* Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers and structure competitive deals.
* Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) for lead tracking and pipeline management.
