Headley Professional Recruitment are working with a leading housebuilder who are looking to strengthen their Technical Team.
Assisting the Regional Development Manager to deliver the timely progression of schemes from post planning through to completion, whilst bringing together and moving forward current and new client relationships.
Co-ordinating the work of various disciplines, both internal and external, you’ll be involved with the post planning technical construction process, promoting an effective information flow between departments to achieve deliverable information to budget and in line with programme.
You should ideally have previous experience within a similar role, in a similar environment, and the ability to communicate confidently and efficiently. Experience of working solely with Registered Providers (RPs) to deliver fully affordable schemes is a strong requirement for this role.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Attending site on a regular basis including attendance of project review meetings to represent the technical department.
2. Management & delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme & deliverable schedule.
3. Mindful of contractual position of the business when working with RP’s.
4. Ensure our appointed design consultants carry out their duties in line with their appointment.
5. Input to pre-construction team and operations team.
6. Mentoring junior staff from time to time.
7. Production of post planning design programmes.
8. Upline reporting.
9. Attending / chairing necessary meetings & workshops.
10. Ensuring 3rd party designs are compliant to relevant legislation & technical requirements.
11. Pursuit of value engineering strategies.
12. Assisting the development manager in ensuring the database and knowledge of current and future regulation changes are updated to the team.
13. Participate in discussions with the planning & pre-con team prior to the submission of detailed planning applications.
14. Day to Day Duties to include (although not exhaustive):
1. Discharge of planning conditions.
2. Appointing consultants.
3. S51 water applications.
4. MU services quotes / coordination.
5. Coordination of SAP specification.
6. Documentation checking i.e. drawings (electrical / mechanical / beam/block / joist / truss / staircase / kitchen / conveyance).
7. SBD applications where applicable.
8. Preparation of information for legal / sales meetings.
9. Plot to postal’s.
10. MPAN / MPRN registration with suppliers.
11. S106 applications (drainage connections) coordination.
12. S38 application coordination & management with Regional Engineer.
13. S104 application coordination & management with Regional Engineer.
14. S185 application coordination & management with Regional Engineer.
15. NHBC registration & portal discharge of information.
16. As built coordination & management.
17. HUGS.
18. Resolving site queries.
19. Chairing tracker meetings.
20. Attendance of project review meetings.
21. Client / stakeholder engagement.
