A growing international software company seeks a Tech Support Engineer with investigative mindset and the ability to work in a small, technology-led, multi-disciplinary environment.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Systems Technical Support Engineer, specializing in server and automation software. Prior knowledge of the specific software is not essential, as full training and mentoring will be provided. Responsibilities include providing technical and analytical support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving issues on installations, migrations, and upgrades. You are a quick thinker, capable of troubleshooting with clients using log files and SQL Server/SQL Server Management Studio.
In addition, you will be involved with license generation, technical writing, reporting, and supporting the international development team with faults and bugs. As a first-line Support Engineer, you will primarily communicate with clients via email or online, ensuring customer satisfaction. The role is based in Reigate, UK, with some flexibility for remote work. Occasional international travel may be required.
Qualifications

* Experience in the petroleum industry is a plus

* Familiarity with SQL Server/SQL Server Management Studio/PI database
* BSc in Computer Science, relevant Engineering, Petroleum Technology, or related field
