St David's Catholic Primary School is a successful and vibrant school serving the Catholic communities of the West of Swansea. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching and joining our committed team. The Teacher will provide learning support and guidance for all pupils and have experience of working with children who have additional learning needs in the mainstream classroom.
Essential qualities include:
* Sensitivity, empathy and an understanding of the pupils in the school;
* The relevant qualifications and experience in a school setting;
* Excellent Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills;
* Proven track record of excellence;
* Good communication skills with an ability to encourage, motivate and deal with a variety of pupils;
* The ability to support pupil learning within mainstream Foundation Phase/ Key Stage 2 classes;
* Can carry out practical tasks which support the smooth running of the school;
* Will work effectively as part of a team;
* Is confident in supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs and those with English as an Additional Language;
* A positive, optimistic and pro-active outlook within an existing strong team of staff;
* Able to contribute to the general life of the whole school;
* Have high expectations both for children and themselves;
* Delivery of high quality teaching and learning;
* Be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community;
* Will support learners to 'Love God, Love Learning and Love Life'.
