Salary: £24,375 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed Term, Term Time Only (Dates TBC)

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Cook to join our close-knit team at Acorn Park School located in Norwich.
Job Purpose: To support the Cook Manager on a day-to-day basis and, in the absence of the Cook Manager, be responsible for the day-to-day management of the catering services at Acorn Park School.
General Responsibilities:
1. To help prepare and cook main, vegetarian, desserts, cakes, salads and various diets from scratch to serve in two refectories as part of a rota system.
2. To complete food, snack, cooking and picnic orders.
3. To check off and put away deliveries.
4. To serve food, wash up and clean down each refectory.
5. Cleaning tasks - daily, weekly and monthly.
6. To operate kitchen equipment safely.
About us: Acorn Park is a school for 160 pupils, who all have a primary diagnosis of Autism. We run two curriculum pathways – Formal and Semi-formal. Our Complex needs pupils are on the Semi-Formal Pathway which is highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils as we have 8 co-located pupil’s homes on our 30 Acre site in rural Norfolk. On site, we also have a large Forest School and Animal Care Farm along with play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms.
