About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Communications & Engagement to lead a significant transformation in our client's profile and supporter base. This role is pivotal in developing a proactive culture of communications, audience development, and supporter engagement. The successful candidate will ensure that the organisation's message resonates with new and emerging audiences, fostering empowerment and collaboration within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
Brand Development and Storytelling
* Develop and embed the organisation's story into internal and external messaging.
* Lead the creation of engaging content across digital, print, and social media platforms.
* Enhance the organisation's identity and visibility through strategic brand executions.
Strategic Communications and Supporter Development
* Design and execute communication campaigns to increase the organisation's profile.
* Develop multi-channel communications tailored to diverse audiences.
* Innovate digital communication strategies to enhance engagement.
* Measure and analyse the impact of communications, adjusting strategies as needed.
* Develop the organisation's website as a key information and engagement hub.
Audience Development and Stakeholder Engagement
* Lead an insight-based audience development strategy.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
* Represent the organization at events and meetings, acting as an ambassador.
* Participate in organisational strategy and decision-making.
* Support the development and implementation of the overall strategic plan.
* Improve communication and collaboration across teams and the board.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Senior experience in communications, marketing, or audience development within a charity or non-profit.
* Strong background in brand development, storytelling, and strategic communications.
* Proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
* Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills.
* Integrity, ethical judgment, and commitment to transparency and accountability.
