Principal Teacher Curriculum (STEM Faculty) (0.2FTE)
Moffat Academy is seeking to appoint an inspiring and determined secondary Principal Teacher Curriculum (STEM Faculty) on a 0.2FTE (one day per week) permanent basis.
You will share a key day-to-day operational role based at Moffat Academy - Secondary. You will also share a cluster-wide strategic leadership role, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths - enabling all young people to achieve success both in school and through digital learning platforms.
As part of an all-through 2 to 18 campus comprising nursery, primary and secondary school, we work closely as a team to nurture and support our young people, families, and community. You will have proven leadership qualities and experience in secondary education and be committed to very high standards of achievement.
Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in the appropriate sector.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to the formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check.
A significant relocation package of up to £5000 may be available to the successful candidate (Permanent positions only). Please see attached guidance for further information.
