Senior Business Development Manager for a multi-site, global Logistics company who are building a sales super team.
Described as the fastest growing Logistics company in the UK.
Location: Remote - with a view to opening an office (the company already have multiple offices).
Requirements:
1. Business Development Manager MUST have sold Air, Road & Sea Freight for a Freight Forwarder.
2. Air Freight & Sea Freight sales experience essential.
3. Ability to bring business, clients, contacts will be a distinct advantage.
Package:
* £50K - £60K + 10% commission for life time of account

Role Responsibilities:
1. Achieve new business sales targets by developing relationships with new (and lapsed) customers.
2. Generate own leads and opportunities and follow up on any leads and referrals.
3. Proactively own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale.
4. Arrange own meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
5. Negotiate the terms of a sale (price, costs, delivery and specifications) with buyers and close the sale.
6. Effectively interact with the Operations team to fully brief them on new sales/new customers.
7. Gather and maintain detailed market and target customer information including a clear understanding of customers' business and requirements.
8. Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Company's products, services, and pricing structures.
Essential Experience:
1. Air Freight sales Experience ESSENTIAL
2. Sea Freight sales Experience ESSENTIAL
3. Proven track record in external freight sales - ESSENTIAL
