Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership
* Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
* Identify new market opportunities, define go-to-market plans, and prioritize key growth initiatives.
* Collaborate with the executive team to align sales efforts with the company’s vision and objectives.
Team Building & Management
* Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
* Set clear performance metrics and provide regular coaching and feedback to ensure individual and team success.
* Build and scale sales processes and workflows to support rapid growth.
Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
* Drive revenue growth through effective lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closing strategies.
* Establish strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive long-term growth.
* Expand the company’s footprint into new markets, verticals, or geographies.
Customer-Focused Selling
* Partner with marketing and product teams to refine value propositions, sales messaging, and customer engagement strategies.
* Use data-driven insights to understand customer needs and refine the sales approach accordingly.
* Advocate for the customer internally, ensuring their feedback influences product development and service delivery.
Reporting & Analytics
* Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, including pipeline health, win rates, and revenue forecasts.
* Leverage sales tools and CRM systems to optimize operations and improve data accuracy.
* Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
* 8–12 years of sales experience in the tech industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of scaling sales teams and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
* Experience in SaaS, or B2B tech sales is highly preferred.
Desirable:
* Experience working with public sector organisations
Skills & Competencies
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
* Deep understanding of the sales process, from prospecting to closing.
* Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools
