Purpose of the Role
The Finance Assistant will work within the European Central and Loyalty finance team of the Collinson Group.
Become an integral part of the Central and Loyalty Financial Reporting team, supporting the production of accurate and timely financial information for management and statutory reporting purposes.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant may include
* Reconciliation, analysis and clearance of balance sheet accounts.
* Support the annual statutory audit process
* Assist with the preparation of scheduled and ad hoc reporting
* Assist with the preparation of prepaid and accrual schedules
* Assist in the preparation of VAT and other statutory returns
* Work with the Finance Operations team to ensure all transactions processed are accurate and complete
* Assist with ensuring that robust controls are maintained and potential weaknesses identified and raised
* Assist with the production of accurate and timely managements accounts
* Produce and maintain process documentation as required
* Strive to identify opportunities for process improvements
* Any other reasonable tasks to help support the smooth running of the department
Knowledge, skills and experience required
* Started, or looking to start, training towards an accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
* Delivery focused
* Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
* A working knowledge of MSD.
* Detail focused with strong organisation and planning skills
* A proactive, positive, forward-looking mindset
* Able to communicate confidently and effectively, internally and externally, at all levels within an organisation
* Able to work well under pressure
