What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
• Be an enthusiastic practitioner, keen to take on a mixed Reception/Year 1 class (there are currently 19 pupils).
• Have experience of planning for all subjects within the Early Years/KS1 Curriculum.
• Have a passion for the environment – e.g. a Forest Schools qualification.
• Be up-to-date with approaches to teaching and keen to take on new challenges in the profession.
• Have experience of delivering systematic, synthetic phonics programs (we use Little Wandle).
• Be able to maintain our warm and welcoming environment, to enable all children to reach their full potential.

We have an outstanding outdoor area as part of our Early Years provision and have recently upgraded the classroom space and resources in Acorns Class. It is a fabulous place to teach and work!
We would be happy to consider a job-share arrangement for this post. We would also be keen to support the appointed candidate with transition into the role, with a handover from our current skilled member of the teaching team in Acorns Class.
