Job Role
The Construction Manager position at MAG involves overseeing construction activities to ensure timely completion, high quality, and adherence to safety standards within allocated budget.
This role requires collaboration with the Capital Delivery team to develop strategies for capital projects, devising project delivery plans that meet stakeholder needs while minimizing disruptions. The successful candidate will also provide support in selecting delivery partners, compiling pre-construction information, and identifying necessary permits.
Additionally, the Construction Manager will represent MAG at Site Progress meetings, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, quality standards, and performance expectations.
Key Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess prior experience as a supervisor on a construction site and demonstrate project delivery expertise from concept to completion. Essential qualifications include a valid CSCS black card and an NVQ level qualification in construction management or equivalent.
Ideal candidates will have experience in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical projects, NEC supervisor roles, or Clerk of Works experience. Strong communication skills, stakeholder management abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Project, are highly desirable. While aviation industry experience is beneficial, it's not essential.
