Futures are looking to appoint a H&S Advisor for a client of ours on the outskirts of Wakefield who have recently acquired a new facility due to continued growth. Our client is a market leader within their respective field and is looking to take on a H&S Advisor who will be very present on the shop floor and have the ability to implement processes and procedures. The ideal candidate must have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for Health & Safety.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
2. Organise and deliver health and safety training sessions for employees and contractors.
3. Maintain and update records, including safety documentation, incident reports, and compliance logs.
4. Promote a positive health and safety culture across the organization.
5. Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and external stakeholders to address health and safety concerns.
6. Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
7. Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up on corrective actions.
Qualifications:
1. Experience of auditing.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to bring together cross-departmental teams.
3. NEBOSH or IOSH qualified.
4. Previous experience working within health, safety, and environment in a manufacturing environment.
