What you will do
Join our sought-after Site Management Trainee Programme, where you’ll be at the very heart of our business and play a vital role in ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll oversee various subcontractor and operative activities working across several workstreams within our business.
Using the knowledge and skills you’ve learnt on the programme, you’ll:
* Promote and uphold Wates’ reputation for providing the highest standards of site safety, health, and welfare and the leading voice in the protection of the environment.
* Work with our supply chain and surveyors to protect Wates’ commercial position.
* Develop strong working relationships with our clients, design team, and supply chain by promoting best practices throughout the lifecycle of the construction process.
* Contribute your knowledge and skills to the delivery of the project on time, on budget, to the required quality.
* Develop an understanding of technical practices and sequences on projects.
* Gain ongoing knowledge of and implementation of cutting-edge construction software and technology.

Eligibility
To join our Trainee Management Programme via the Graduate route, you will have a motivation to learn and develop within the industry.
For Leicester, Leeds, London (Harrow), and Reading, you’ll have obtained or be working towards a 2:2 Cognate Degree. Leeds, Leicester, and Reading also require a full UK driving license.
For Castle Donington, Poole, Central London, North London (Finsbury Park), Manchester, Stevenage, and Warrington, you’ll have obtained or be working towards a 2:2 degree in any subject area. All of these locations require a full UK driving license.
Some locations will require specific travel commitments and may require stays away from home, which will be fully expensed by Wates and/or require advanced security checks.
