We are looking for an inspiring, confident, and nurturing Practice Supervisor to join our Learning & Well-Being Hub At Buckinghamshire Council, we believe that the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) for newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) is a crucial part of professional development. We recruit newly qualified social workers in specific campaigns once or twice a year to join our nationally recognised Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme. The role also includes supporting and overseeing our other programmes such as Return to Social Work and the Apprenticeship programme. About The Role We are looking for an individual that has experience in the supervisory role to join our dynamic team. Not only will you lead the ASYE programme, but you will also support and coach candidates in ‘returning to social work’, our social work apprenticeship scheme, occupational therapy students. We expect the role to include both clinical, and well-being supervisory sessions, direct observations, the planning and delivery of professional practice workshops, and linking closely with locality managers and colleagues to ensure wrap around support for our cohorts. The successful candidate will be supported in their role through targeted managerial CPD activities that are available through our learning platforms, while also receiving mentoring support from their allocated line manager. Any-Desk : As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements. About You You will be a driven individual with proven supervisory, mentoring, and coaching experience. The successful post holder must hold a professional qualification and be registered with Social Work England. You must have excellent communication skills which help build professional relationships with staff members that present different levels of expertise. You will need to be highly organised, motivated and knowledgeable in relevant legislation and case work.
