Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Northumberland Contract Type: Long Term Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for an all through school based in Northumberland. Pupils in this all-through school have a diverse range of needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as well as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This school offers small class sizes for students aged 2 to 19, supporting their development from early childhood to adulthood. Staff at this school were praised in a recent Ofsted report for their expert knowledge in fostering pupil development and providing effective support. The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 16:30pm and is a long-term position. The ideal Teaching Assistant will: Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one. Have experience of working in a transferable role. Work with the pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively Follow personalised curriculum and care plans to meet pupil's requirements Participate in the planning and implementation of the child's curriculum through lesson planning Possess good classroom skills Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil Leader Education can offer: Competitive pay rates.
