Job Title: Platform Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

About the Role:
As a Platform Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future infrastructure and technical direction. You'll be involved in designing, maintaining, and optimising a mature, high-traffic platform, working closely with the engineering team to improve the performance and resilience of cloud services. You’ll also have the autonomy to implement tooling and monitoring solutions, using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) to deploy regularly across AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform
* Collaborate with senior engineers to make sound, secure architectural decisions
* Ensure platform resiliency, redundancy, and high performance
* Configure infrastructure to support frequent, reliable software deployments
* Influence platform roadmaps and advocate for improved tooling and security practices
* Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support the infrastructure for web applications used by thousands daily
About You:
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and aligns with the company’s values. To succeed, you’ll need:
* 3-5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS) for web applications
* Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code
* Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools
* Strong understanding of designing resilient systems
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and one programming language (Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, etc.)
* A commitment to security best practices and excellent documentation skills
