Whipps Cross Hospital has been a healthcare cornerstone in East London, serving a vibrant community of over 350,000 people from Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Epping Forest and beyond. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic pharmacist to join the Pharmacy department at Whipps Cross Hospital. You will work with a team of pharmacy staff to deliver patient-centred pharmaceutical care to paediatric and women’s health patients across the hospital.
You will work closely with the Women’s and Children’s pharmacy team across Barts Health and will be responsible for:
1. Optimising patient flow
2. Ensuring medicines safety and patient outcomes
3. Supporting the service in managing the medicines budget and achieving best value for resources
We do this through working closely with the multidisciplinary clinical teams, service management, and the wider pharmacy team while demonstrating the Trust WeCare Values.
You will also be expected to contribute to the research agenda by working with staff across the Pharmacy department.
The post holder will carry out the full range of duties as a Women’s and Children’s Highly Specialist Pharmacist to deliver patient-focused, quality care, based at Whipps Cross University Hospital (WCUH). You will support the hospital in delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services to the speciality and ensure that maternity has focused governance and medicines management.
