Description We're looking for an experienced and creative Lead Digital Designer to join our UX eCommerce team on a 12 month FTC Based from Next Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire with a competitive salary range and great benefits. The talented eCommerce UX team is responsible for ensuring the NEXT website and our partner brand websites look and feel modern and captivating, whilst designing everything from customer journeys and preferences to new and upcoming functionalities. The role As a Lead Digital Designer, you will help set the overall direction of creative output within the team, producing stand out designs for a wide range of digital content and projects. Your main duties will be leading a team of designers concentrating on creating and overseeing creative for our new luxury high-end brand offering, across a wide range of digital touch points. Whilst navigating briefs in a fast paced design team, your primary focus will be on the creation of digital content including graphics, animations, digital assets, layouts, banners, email campaigns, brand decks as well as overall ideation. You will help enhance and suggest how the creative can be used online, helping to adhere to best design, UI and compliance practices. What else is involved? Help to lead a team of creative designers with your experience by suggesting ways to improve a creative concept using your knowledge of the high luxury market. You will need to present your ideas back to key stakeholders as well as luxury brand partners. You will work with the brand, trade and marketing teams to concept new designs, themes and ideas. Work with premium fashion brands on our designer sites and be able to visualise and present your ideas to key management teams. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders as well as design leads across the Online Department. Creation of on-site style guides and brand decks where required. Working closely with the commercial team to ensure your designs help drive online sales. Help build pixel perfect pages within the CMS, implementing brand guidelines, styles and layouts, and working to specified deadlines. Help innovate new ideas in technical/digital advances, developing new graphic techniques or suggest new design processes when needed. You’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office. Experience of working with high end luxury fashion brands. You will be comfortable presenting to key internal and external stakeholders with excellent communication skills. Flexibility and adaptable – to ensure urgent business can be accommodated. Good Experience of Figma Software. Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud. CSS, HTML knowledge and wireframing tools (preferred) Working experience of a CMS system (beneficial) High attention to detail. A positive attitude with a ‘can do’ spirit, with the ability to take on constructive criticism to enhance the overall design. A natural self starter and leader. Experience in Leading or Mentoring.
