What you'll do The Pre-Sales Solution Consultant’s primary role will be to engage across a broad range of contact points within a customer organisation, understand the business goals and objectives of the organisation, and work with the customer and account team to identify, qualify and propose solutions aligned to opportunities where capability within the Vodafone portfolio could support the customer in achieving these goals and objectives. Working with global clients who are UK-centric as part of the Pre-Sales organisation in Vodafone UK, the Pre-Sales Solution Consultant will typically own opportunities worth up to £100M TCV. The nature, criticality and scale of some of these opportunities allows our Pre-Sales Solution Consultants to influence and “change the way Britain works”. Our Pre-Sales Solution Consultants support both private sector and public sector clients and are therefore expected to understand the procurement frameworks and processes associated with both. The Pre-Sales Solution Consultant is accountable, alongside the account team, for demand generation activities i.e. pro-actively creating or identifying new opportunities to sell Vodafone solutions, and will also respond to requests for new technology or technology-derived solutions from the customer. This is a customer-facing role. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone to help support one of our large key accounts as they move through their extensive transformation programme. There is a particular need for strong Cloud skills, particularly in AWS and Azure, but we will need someone who is adaptable and a good learner that can pick up other technologies as well. You will also have: • Experience of constructing business cases and business case benefits realisation • Basic level business functions (Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Strategy etc.) • The requirements capture process and expected outputs • The pre-contract/sales cycle Technical & professional skills/qualifications: • Must have - good Teams, Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint/presenting knowledge • Must have - have considerable experience of one or more key technologies such as WAN/LAN/UC/IOT/Cloud (private and public) & Security • Desirable – knowledge or experience of the ITIL framework.
