About The Role

* Evaluating the needs of children and families

We are looking for someone with experience working with children who can contribute these qualities.
What will I do as a Support Worker?
* Complete induction and mandatory training, including safeguarding modules and Wales induction framework
* Follow Salutem policies and procedures concerning health and safety
* Support young people with complex health, physical, and learning needs within the children’s home
* Attend to daily needs and support participation in activities, including evenings and weekends
* Register with Social Care Wales
* Provide high-quality personal care and promote independence
* Encourage socialization and inclusion to help young people reach personal outcomes
* Understand communication needs of young people
* Create a safe and stimulating environment
* Promote health and well-being
* Participate in handover and key worker meetings; liaise with colleagues and external professionals
* Maintain accurate records and effective communication with families and external agencies
* Maintain contact with parents and guardians, ensuring proper information flow
* Be reliable, flexible, and proactive in decision-making and risk assessment
* Attend relevant training for safe practice
* Keep the home tidy
* Undertake sleeping-in duties
* Report to management and perform additional duties as needed
