Kingshill Medical Practice would like to invite applications from enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals wishing to join our busy, hard-working administrative team. We pride ourselves on providing high quality service care, tailored to meet the needs of our 3000 patients.
Our administrators play a key role in the practice, and carry out duties such as reception work in the form of making appointments, answering telephones, dealing with internal and external mail, emailing and scanning duties. You will also be a point of contact for patients, doctors and other medical professionals. Duties also include the typing of clinical letters, maintaining the clinical computer system and other internal practice systems and procedures.
Previous experience of working within a medical administrator/reception role would be advantageous, as well as a working knowledge of Vision, Docman and Microsoft Office applications, however it is not essential.
The post is part time (between 20 and 24 hours per week, to be negotiated), with shift pattern to be agreed within the hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 7pm on Wednesdays. A degree of flexibility will be required to cover staff holiday periods.

Job Description
Location: Forth, Lanarkshire
Hours: 20 - 24 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm (Extended hours to 7pm on Wednesdays)
Main Duties:
* Dealing with patient enquiries via telephone and face to face
* Processing prescriptions, results and any other correspondence
* Booking appointments
* Maintaining strict confidentiality and complying with relevant legislation
Experience:
* Experience of working in a public/patient facing or administrative role
* Experience working in a healthcare/reception environment (desirable)
Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent problem solving, communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to effectively handle situations of potential conflict calmly
* Experience of Microsoft Office (desirable)
* Knowledge of INPS Vision and Docman clinical systems (desirable)
Qualifications:
There are no formal qualifications required for this role; however, a qualification in a related subject is desirable.
