Job Description
We are looking to hire a senior Agile Business Analyst who is expert in requirements management with a particular focus in Capital Markets and the Financial industry.
Using your analytical skills, you will be able to investigate problems and identify opportunities for improvement, support decision making and prioritization, and define success measures. You will understand the business and policy constraints that need to be considered and be able to assess their impact.
You will be able to work without close supervision, and collaboratively with other disciplines in a team to deliver valuable results, and manage stakeholder relationships within client projects to a senior level. Where needed, you will be able to lead a team, raising risks and issues to the appropriate people.
Qualifications
Essential skills and experience:
1. Significant experience in Capital Markets, having worked at major big banks.
2. Strong grasp of fixed income markets, including how bonds and other securities are issued, traded, and managed.
3. Expert in managing business, functional, reporting, and data requirements. Analyse business and user needs, document use cases, and translate business requirements to resolve problems and define technical solutions.
4. Facilitate communication between business leaders, IT stakeholders, and third parties. Communicate risks and impacts, and provide reports and presentations in the right format and language to technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Understand research and user experience, using findings to inform decision-making and balance user needs against business priorities.
6. Contribute to the design of system enhancements, identify process optimization through automation, meeting user needs and inclusion of emerging technologies. Deliver end-to-end process mapping (current, interim, and future states) as required.
7. Test systems to ensure they meet requirements, identify problems, and support the testing of technical solutions focusing on business and user value, functionality and usability throughout the systems development life cycle.
8. Troubleshoot complex issues by evaluating business processes and systems. Raise appropriate risks and issues to senior stakeholders with mitigating actions.
9. Experience working independently, leading a team, and managing the execution of deliverables.
10. Demonstrable knowledge of Agile methodology.
11. Understand industry standards, compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and exercise sound ethical judgment.
