Job summary Little Waltham and Great Notley Surgery has an opportunity for a receptionist to join our team on apart-time basis, working across both our sites. Shifts will include mornings, afternoons and evenings and 1 in 12 Saturday mornings, so you must be able to be flexible. You will also be asked to cover annual leave. In this essential front-line role at the practice, receptionists help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed. We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. Main duties of the job Greeting and directing all patients. Making appointments and giving out appointment cards, where required. Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc. Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints. Advising patients of practice procedures. Registering new patients. Answering the telephone, promptly. About us We are a 2-site, friendly training practice with over 20,000 patients.
