The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced piping site engineer & supervisor on behalf of a leading industrial contractor. This contract role is based at a large-scale project in Shotton, where you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and managing on-site teams.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in piping installation to take on a key role in a high-profile industrial project.
Responsibilities
* Planning daily piping activities and assigning tasks to team members.
* Coordinating with other departments and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
* Reviewing and interpreting piping isometric drawings, plans, and blueprints.
* Supervising, monitoring, and directing the work of piping teams and subcontractors.
* Collaborating with engineering and project management teams to resolve design discrepancies or field modifications.
* Monitoring progress and providing daily updates to engineers and managers.
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
* Experience working on large-scale construction projects in sectors like oil & gas, water treatment, power, or heavy industry.
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
* NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in mechanical engineering or a related field (preferred).
* Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively.
* Valid CSCS card or equivalent site certification.
