Hospitality & Event Services Manager Based: Virginia Water 2-3 days a week onsite. The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations. We are responsible for running the world-famous DP World Tour, Legends Tour, Challenge Tour and G4D Tour (golf for the disabled). We also organise, alongside the PGA of America, golf’s greatest team contest - the Ryder Cup. The Role: Join our dynamic Hospitality & Event Services team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in the Championship Management department, ensuring top-tier, best in class events. As the lead for player, guest, accommodation, and hospitality services, you’ll guarantee efficient and dynamic delivery to all key stakeholders, providing the highest quality experience at our tournaments. Key Responsibilities In this role, you’ll manage the planning and execution of the event pro-am (Professional – Amateurs), handling everything from invitations and guest management to logistics and F&B. You’ll collaborate with Commercial Partnerships and procurement teams to secure official hotels and manage room blocks, negotiate agreements, and source transportation for specific user groups. Building and maintaining relationships with key event partners and stakeholders, including venues and local governments, will be crucial. You’ll work closely with the Partnership Management team to ensure seamless collaboration. You’ll design and coordinate hospitality products for both Partner and sold hospitality programs, managing guest and inventory, implementing hospitality facilities, recruiting and managing staff, and selecting F&B offerings. Additionally, you’ll oversee sustainable catering for all user groups, from players to volunteers. Your responsibilities will also include planning and delivering fringe events like gala dinners and receptions, leading a successful volunteer program, and managing merchandise and official clothing development. You’ll take charge of ticketing design and fulfilment, working with relevant departments. Knowledge, Skills and experience To excel in this role, you should have demonstrable and impactful experience working with leading global brands and managing major international sports events, ideally with at least three years of experience in this area. Strong project management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a collaborative approach are essential. An understanding of golf and its stakeholders is advantageous but not essential. Sporting events experience would also be advantageous. Personally, you should be proactive, comfortable in high-pressure environments, willing to travel internationally, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
