BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a dedicated Radiation Oncology Veterinary Technician in Malvern, PA!

Pay: $ - $ per hour
This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and progression through the CareerTrax leveling system.
Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation based on experience.
We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible night and weekend hours.
*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.
Examples include:
- Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = Shift Differential

As a Radiation Oncology Veterinary Technician, you will:
* Understand different types of radiation energies/modalities and their appropriate uses
* Perform basic radiation therapy patient setups under supervision
* Administer radiation doses to patients under supervision
* Discharge Oncology patients, including client education
* Take comprehensive histories from admitted Oncology patients
* Apply critical thinking and notify doctors of laboratory results
* Understand pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of medications
* Place peripheral over-the-needle catheters in vessels
* Recognize abnormal heart and lung sounds
* Calculate medical math, including advanced calculations and CRIs
* Recognize patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
* Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia
* Maintain and care for anesthesia equipment
