Solar PV Team Leader
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Solar PV Team Leader to join a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee high-quality solar PV installations for domestic customers across the UK. About the Role
As Solar PV Team Leader, you will manage the end-to-end installation of solar PV systems on residential properties, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will lead a team of PV Installers, working closely with office staff to plan, schedule, and execute projects effectively. This role involves 70% on-site work, including inspections, installations, and client interactions, with 30% office-based responsibilities, such as planning, sourcing parts, and scheduling work for your team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of PV Installers, ensuring clear communication and smooth project execution.
* Oversee solar PV installations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
* Conduct maintenance inspections and remedial work on solar PV systems.
* Perform site visits, liaising directly with clients to assess needs and provide updates.
* Plan and design solutions for remedial work, managing material sourcing and logistics.
* Ensure all projects meet quality standards before handover.
* Maintain accurate records, documentation, and customer handovers.
* Foster a safe, positive, and productive work environment for your team.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum two years’ experience in solar PV installation.
* Minimum two years’ experience in a team leadership role.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
* Professional and reliable, representing the company with integrity.
* City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition), City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection, Testing, and Certification)
* CSCS card
* Knowledge of MCS rules and compliance standards.
* Flexibility to work overtime, travel, and stay overnight when required.
* Full UK driving licence.
