About this opportunity
We are looking for the right candidate to join us as a Business Support Admin, providing efficient, effective, and confidential administration support to the team at Oak Tree Road Children’s Home in Kendal (11 hours) and to the Fostering and Adoption Teams (7.5 hours). This is a permanent opportunity and a great time to join a focused and motivated team, who are passionate about supporting children, young people, families, and carers.
Key responsibilities
The role will support the home with many of the statutory functions/processes which business support do on behalf of the managers, assistant managers and RSWs. This includes managing and booking supervisions for all staff, organising the on-call rotas, organising meetings between young people and multi-agency staff, pocket money allowances and maintaining the petty cash system. Business support also organise and minute the whole managers meetings, the Registered managers meetings, in home staff meetings, TCI Co-ordinators meetings as well as any HR meetings requested by the Service Manager.
The role will also provide support to the Fostering and Adoption Teams. The post holder will need to have some knowledge of reporting and maintaining databases and spreadsheets and minuting meetings. The post holder will also provide business support to the Sharefound information (Junior ISA and Stepladder) enquiries.
This role is essential to support a statutory function for CLA for both Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness Councils.
