Development Project & Operational Support Lead BD
You will be joining a dynamic team who are part of something special. Main duties of the job
The primary role is to be the Project and Operational Support Manager / Matron for major projects or initiatives, managing a number of specialist areas and providing expert, proactive, and professional leadership on service and product implementation across Blood Donation / Blood Supply chain. Responsibilities include:
1. Providing direct support to the Project Lead and full involvement in major operational projects, initiatives, or work areas.
2. Providing leadership, vision, and direction to develop the Operational strategy across Blood Donation / Blood Supply.
3. Collaborating with senior management teams to identify operational improvements for the complete Blood supply chain.
4. Providing advice on standards and specifications for systems, processes, consumables, and equipment.
5. Offering operational expertise for evaluation, procurement processes, and projects.
6. Traveling and spending time away from base, working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to Masters degree level in a relevant business-related subject, supported with post-qualifying experience or substantial work experience at a similar level.
* Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD).
* Holds a valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
Experience
* Experience of planning over short, medium, and long-term timeframes and adjusting plans and resource requirements accordingly.
* Proven experience of identifying performance trends and root causes of performance issues.
* Staff management experience including full responsibilities for recruitment, training, performance, and conduct issues.
* Proven experience of developing effective performance interventions.
* Knowledge of change management and service redesign.
* Experience of developing service opportunities through business planning, monitoring, and leading the implementation of successful change management processes.
* Advanced level experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
