About The Team And The Role Here at Ocado Retail, we are at an exciting point in our plans in working towards launching a new retail media network in the UK. As part of that transformation we are looking to bring in specialists within media planning, to help execute and deliver a new way of working with our suppliers and commercial teams, that ultimately delivers value back to them, Ocado and our customers. This role will be a leadership position as part of the media planning function, a newly formed team aimed at working closely with supplier partners on their annual digital retail media plans with Ocado. The individual will need to use both analytics and commercial acumen to steer and guide a set portfolio of clients, as well as business partner with the commercial teams to ensure media plans are supporting commercial outcomes. This individual will also develop the planning department as it grows. They will be responsible for building trusted relationships with suppliers and internal teams, building customer-first media plans, whilst also hitting internal change management and revenue targets. This individual will be responsible for delivering the business units commercial growth, and, market leading value to suppliers and do so whilst enhancing the customer experience. This person will also need to be motivated to work in the exciting, high growth Retail Media industry, as well as being a pivotal team member in the change of the current business operating model and transformation plans we are working towards. What You’ll Do Business partnering with the commercial teams to ensure supplier media plans are delivering commercial outcomes and strong performance Own reporting of media utilisation and performance to inform future media plans and propositions Working with commercial teams with a set of supplier partner media plans with Ocado Retail, across onsite, offsite and other media channels Responsibility of building out a new operating model for media planning, working alongside the trading and merchandising team Be able to pitch strong, customer first media plans, linked heavily to promotional plans and supplier objectives. To advise and guide suppliers to make strong media plans that help deliver brand, Ocado and Customer objectives. Develop your skills and that of your team, with an expectation of becoming an industry expert in media planning. You will have accountability and management of the retail media investment of the supplier portfolio Build and foster a new team of media planners, as we look to build this team out further. Lead and manage a highly engaged, high performing team across media planning, relationship management and internal stakeholder alignment Able to see the bigger picture and connect with the wider organisation with an ability to make the complex simple for different audiences Who You Are Highly analytical and commercially astute individual. Experience working with retail media plans, FMCG’s and/or media agencies Have strong customer relationship management skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships Strong passion for the development of our new retail media network, and being part of a bigger transformation roadmap.
