The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Production Assistant with creative flare and vision for continuous improvement and can-do attitude. This role involves closely supporting the production administrative process to meet the company objectives. Keeping in line with the critical path under your seniors management you will take the necessary steps to keep jewellery launches on time and in line.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the end-to-end jewellery production process, tracking the progression of jewellery from concept to finished piece, through sample ordering, liaison with supplier to creation of product specification.
Responsible for the collation of photography assets; through creation of line lists to liaison with third parties and including in house retouching and filing of assets.
To assist with the creation of new product specification with skill in Adobe Illustrator.
Maintaining and improving systems for the stock of QC, production & vintage samples advised by design, marketing and production teams.
General administrative support to the head office production team with day-to-day organization. i.e. internal logistics (assay, outworkers, gold plating, workshop organization, running & ad hoc duties.
Carry out quality control inspections with a keen eye and commercial perspective ensuring the brands high standards are attained. solving any arising production issues. Communicating with merchandising and our factories and ensuring the cataloguing of samples is maintained.
To provide accurate knowledge and information of new products for web and retail teams.
Work in Retail when needed including lunchtime cover, closing shift and busy periods. As we work in a retail environment to be mindful of any support that may needed in the shopfloor.
Assisting the merchandising/ distribution department with allocation/stocktaking when required at busy times.
Provide exemplary customer service, brand and product knowledge.
Contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives and work as a strong team member to achieve these whilst supporting the overall business strategy.
Ideal Candidate
Higher Education Qualification preferred - Degree, HND or relevant jewellery production certification with minimum 2 years work experience in jewellery production.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for luxury jewellery as well as being commercially aware - informed about dh brand, the competition, our brand position, pricing of goods and customer profiling to help the DH brand to continue with growth and maintaining our brand position in the marketplace.
Demonstrate exceptional visual awareness, attention to detail and product knowledge on all categories.
Possess excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Exhibit an ability to multitask resourcefully.
Possess excellent knowledge of Ms Office, Adobe photoshop, Illustrator and other web-based applications.
Be self-motivated with a proactive approach and enthusiasm to learn and develop current processes.
