We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our team at Ben Jonson Primary School. This key role is essential in promoting and maintaining excellent school attendance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the well-being of our pupils. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, parents, and carers to foster positive relationships, provide advice and support, and encourage regular school attendance for all students.
The role requires a strong understanding of primary education and the ability to manage attendance data using the school’s MIS system (SIMS) and other platforms. You will be responsible for monitoring attendance trends, preparing reports for senior leadership, and liaising with external agencies and local authorities to support our families. Excellent communication skills are essential for this position, as you will be handling sensitive matters and conducting meetings with parents or carers when necessary.
