Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Warehouse Operative to join their busy team. The successful applicant will have control of the warehouse reporting into an off site operations manager along with onsite management.
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position, but other qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Job Role
Receiving & processing of incoming stock, picking and shipping orders. Managing, organising and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
This is a full time role Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.
Main Purpose and Responsibilities
To contribute to the development of storage, receiving and delivery system of the warehouse and to be able to fulfil the customers/suppliers needs
To maintain accurate stocks of finished goods and materials by assembling customers and production orders accurately following procedures and to be delivered on time and the right quantity
Responsible for ‘Goods In’ and ‘Goods Out’ areas and that all activities are carried out according to proper procedures
Pick all customers and production orders accurately following relevant procedures
Receive ‘Goods In’ according to relevant procedures
Maintain high levels of organisation and housekeeping to maximise space
Responsible for the checking and reporting of faults on the warehouse equipment, forklift, pallet tracks and racks
Ensure that all relevant paperwork is processed accurately according to procedures
Cross training to cover Production Co-ordinator when on holiday.
Contribute to the development of an environment of continual improvement by suggesting ideas that can help to achieve company objectives
To work in co-operation and in collaboration as a team member to ensure that team objectives are met
Comply with all quality procedures as per quality procedures manual
Comply with Health & Safety regulations
Essential Skills
Full clean driving licence.
Forklift licence desirable but not essential – Training may be available.
