A well-established, top 25 accountancy firm in the UK is currently seeking an Audit Semi-Senior to join their growing team in Sussex. With a legacy of over 30 years, the firm has built a strong reputation for providing a broad range of tailored services to ambitious business clients across various industries.

In this role, you’ll report to the Audit Manager and work alongside experienced seniors to perform audits from start to finish. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to and grow within a high-performing audit team, handling engagements for prominent South-East businesses, including those with international reach.
As an Audit Semi-Senior, you will:
Assist in accounts preparation and tax computations on non-audit assignments.
Work within an audit team, supporting different stages of the audit process.
Participate in audit planning, conduct fieldwork, assess client procedures, and provide constructive recommendations.
Uphold audit quality standards in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Support and mentor junior team members, offering guidance, training, and development support.
Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who bring a mix of skills and experience:
* Actively pursuing ACA or ACCA qualifications.
* Minimum of 1 year’s experience in external audit within an accountancy practice.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with accounting software such as Sage and Xero; experience with CCH and CaseWare is a plus.
* A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Ambitious with a drive for professional growth, ready to take on greater responsibilities.
Benefits
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Working Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible, hybrid options available following probation.
Annual Leave: 20 days (increasing to 25 upon qualification), excluding bank holidays
