An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join our team as a community staff nurse within the District Nursing Service in Kirkcaldy locality community nursing service.
You are required to be a registered Nurse; community nursing experience is beneficial but not essential. You should be enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills. Working within the community, you will be required to have a range of clinical skills and extensive clinical knowledge to support your decision making in practice. You will need to be able to work within a team but also have the knowledge and skills to work as a lone worker to support delivery of quality care within the community.
The community nursing service delivers care and support 24 hours per day. The post will include working weekends and public holidays. You may be required to work evenings or within other localities to meet the needs of the service on occasions.
An ability to travel across the locality is essential.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
