Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team in Beaconsfield to provide clients with an efficient and effective service, through the control and efficient use of the department resources and by performing the work for clients within the portfolio. You will liaise with other departments to ensure close liaison on client affairs and assisting in administration tasks to ensure a smooth running of the department.
As Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include among others
* Completing management and statutory accounts, including related services, and setting budgets - awareness of commercial aspects of clients business and impact on our work. Arrangement of timetable, booking of staff, planning and completion of management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns and other related assignments.
* Preparation of proposals for new work, and development of opportunities for Evelyn Partners with current clients, assisting with embedding new clients into Evelyn Partners and within the client and staff portfolio, including work schedules.
* Attend to preparation of fee notes and fee covering letter for clients, in terms of the Business Outsourcing Services billing policy, for review by the relevant Associate Director, Director or Partner.
* Assist the Managers with cash collection of outstanding debtors for clients in the portfolio in accordance with our Business Outsourcing Services cash collection policy.
* Review and prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, prepare and review unaudited statutory accounts and related files and review iXBRL tagged accounts once prepared by members of the team.
* Ensure that clients receive an efficient and proactive service and client expectations are exceeded throughout the year. Liaising with Clients, Partners, and other Evelyn Partner staff where appropriate to ensure all are kept up to date with relevant issues.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should
* Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) or qualified by experience.
* Significant experience of management accounts, statutory accounts and VAT returns gained within a professional services environment.
* Proven experience of working with entrepreneurial, OMB and SME clients.
* Experience of (and appetite for) business development activities such as preparation of proposal documents and demonstrable working knowledge of accounting standards.
* Ability to pro-actively monitor costs against budget for individual clients with proven project management skills.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, Directors, Partners, and colleagues with strong organisation and time management skills to ensure needs of all are met.
