About the Role
As a Cable/Harness/Interconnects Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of high-quality cable and harness solutions for a range of defence applications. You will lead a team of engineers, managing work packages, coordinating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of work packages.
* Design Oversight: Oversee the design and development of cable, harness, and interconnect systems, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Project Management: Plan, manage, and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet project goals.
* Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of interconnect solutions into larger systems.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that designs meet industry standards, customer requirements, and operational needs, performing design reviews and managing testing and validation.
* Supplier Management: Manage relationships with external suppliers, ensuring that components are sourced and delivered in line with project requirements.
* Process Improvement: Implement and promote best practices to enhance design and manufacturing processes for cables, harnesses, and interconnects.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* Significant experience in cable, harness, or interconnect systems design, ideally within the defence, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
* Proven experience in a leadership role, with the ability to manage teams and complex projects.
* Strong knowledge of interconnect systems, including materials, manufacturing processes, and integration techniques.
* Ability to interpret technical requirements and ensure designs meet the required specifications.
* A good understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IPC-WHMA-A-620C, military standards).
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
