Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement function and stock management processes, ensuring efficient operations, cost savings, and continuous improvement. This is a vital role within the company, offering the opportunity to shape and implement key procurement and stock management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily procurement activities, ensuring stock levels are optimized and materials are sourced at the best possible prices.
Check prices paid for materials and ensure accuracy and efficiency in procurement processes.
Negotiate with suppliers, build relationships, and influence cost-effective terms and agreements.
Identify and implement improvements in existing procurement and stock management processes.
Monitor supplier performance, address any issues, and drive continuous improvement through effective communication.
Conduct regular stock audits and maintain accurate records to ensure inventory accuracy.
Provide monthly reports on cost savings and procurement activities to senior management. Key Skills & Experience required:
Proven experience in stock management, warehousing, procurement processing and customer engagement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams is vital.
Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ideally, experience with procurement-specific software.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills to achieve cost savings and favourable terms.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to take initiative and adapt to new systems and processes. What can we offer?:
A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
