Booking/ Reception Team Leader
Location: Rivers Hospital, Sawbridgeworth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time

The role:
We are looking for an experienced Booking/ Reception Team Leader to join our Bookings Team at Rivers Hospital. The Bookings team leader is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bookings team and management of waiting lists, ensuring a prompt, professional, friendly, and courteous service for all service users.
Duties include:
* Managing all systems for receiving Inpatient bookings into the unit
* Prioritising service demands and ensuring capacity is provided to meet demand
* Ensuring that all Inpatient Booking forms are loaded into the system within 48 hours
* Delivering 80% activity booked at the start of each month
* Booking of activity at least 6 weeks in advance
* Meeting all bookings targets and developing the business positively
* Monitoring and improving Key Performance Indicators
* Ensuring all patients are Pre-Authorised before attending the hospital
* Providing efficient customer service on the telephone and face-to-face
* Leading the team to ensure all customers have required information timely
* Developing training plans for team members
* Managing rotas, annual leave, and staff workloads
* Providing HR management of staff
* Monitoring and managing staff performance
* Being a point of escalation for staff and service users
* Deputising for Operational Managers as needed
You will have great communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate experience in leading a team. You will provide guidance, instruction, training, and leadership to inspire the team. This is a busy and demanding role, so candidates will need to be enthusiastic, highly motivated, and flexible.
