Role: Senior Designer - Copper & Black Collection
Contract: Permanent
Location: Havant, Hampshire, PO9 1QJ
Working Arrangements: Hybrid Working (2/3 days per week office based)

Role Summary
To design the complete top to toe Copper and Black collection ‘FatFace all dressed up’. To deliver the best range that epitomises ‘Considered Style. Trusted Quality. B Corp certified’ product DNA. Creating commercial, innovative and unique ranges that deliver the dress up proposition at FatFace. Lead the vision and execution of this collection from concept to store. Working closely alongside the Buyer, Merchandiser and garment technologist.
Role Responsibilities
* Responsible for the design for all phases and seasons
* Create seasonal colour palettes and theme boards for the range
* Create design specifications and liaise directly with the supplier base
* Design pieces that deliver the product DNA and the vision
* Present ranges to Directors for sign off and action any adjustments
* Brief print team seasonally for each collection
* Work with fabric mills and suppliers to develop more sustainable and cost-effective fabrications.
* Work closely with suppliers to achieve a commercial range.
* Liaise with the buying and merchandising team on costs/margins to ensure the range can be bought within realistic budgets.
* Managing own time and critical path dates to hit key dates
* Constant trend and market awareness to deliver relevant collections
* Align self to companies social and environmental mission and champion any actions that you can directly impact at all times’
Skills and Experience
* Degree or equivalent in Fashion based subject
* Experience at Designer level and across multiple product areas
* Ability to communicate with external suppliers, present internally
* Good research skills.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
Role Competencies
* Knowledge of fabric sourcing and occasion wear experience
* Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop. Indesign and Illustrator)
* Ability to draw garments clearly and accurately
* Understanding of colour stories and levels
* Ability to convey designs from paper to 3D design
* Good Knowledge of Factory processes
* Creative and able to convey the vision of FatFace Brand
* Demonstrate knowledge of trends within the marketplace
* Articulate current and future trends for category

Accountable for Resources
Represents the brand image and handwriting – impacting on a wide area of customer facing brand collateral and seasonal communications. The visual proposition of these assets can strongly affect sales, plus both brand integrity and customer brand loyalty.
