Cornwallis Academy are looking to appoint a highly driven and inspirational Teacher of Media for a fixed term contract for maternity cover who would relish the opportunity to lead Cornwallis’ Media Studies provision.
This is a fixed term, maternity cover position with a view to start in September 2025 until at least February 2026, potentially longer.
Media studies has continued to grow in strength year on year, and the post offers outstanding opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for an innovative and ambitious teacher looking for an exciting opportunity.
You will be joining an incredibly well-resourced Academy, working closely with the English Department, that has a relentless drive for improvement as we look to build on our success over the last three years at both GCSE and A-Level. Last summer, we achieved a Progress 8 score of +0.13. 40% of our students achieved 5+ in English and Maths and an impressive 66% achieved grade 4+ in Maths, as well as 100% A*-E at A Level.

The successful candidate will be a creative and inspiring Teacher of Media who will:
* Have Qualified Teacher Status
* Have the ability to teach Media across KS4 and KS5 as a minimum requirement
* Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire students
* Possess recent, relevant teaching experience
