We are seeking an experienced hygiene operative who can inspire and motivate the team to achieve exceptional cleaning standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be a strong team player, and maintain a focused approach. This is a key and challenging role within a small team. The hygiene operative will be responsible for ensuring the factory's cleanliness after daily production, following hygiene and cleaning instruction cards in accordance with good manufacturing practices. This includes maintaining safety, hygiene, and quality procedures. The role also involves carrying out weekly, monthly, and periodic cleaning tasks and requires weekend work on a rota basis. Hourly Pay: £13.30 To assist the Hygiene Supervisor to ensure that the line is ready for set up at the beginning of the shift by ensuring it meets hygiene and GMP standards. To be accountable for safety, hygiene, quality, food safety and cost issues. To inform the Hygiene Supervisor of any issues, which will prevent the production plan being achieved for the shift. To work with the Hygiene Supervisor on all issues relating to safety and hygiene. To be able to be flexible in working hours and be available for weekend overtime on a rota basis Experience in working in a food production environment would be an advantage Understanding of whole production line/ area operation and key jobs. Mechanical appreciation for basic fault finding An understanding of all company procedures and work instructions Numerate and literate to complete necessary production monitoring documentation The individual should have good time management skills and be able to work on their own in the area assigned to them. The individual should have an eye for detail as factory start up is dependent on hygiene being carried out to a high standard.
