Hybrid (two days in our city centre office with occasional client site visits)
Are you a natural storyteller with a passion for social? Do you live for TikTok trends, thrive on LinkedIn strategy, and love crafting content that actually connects?
At McBryde & Co we’re on the hunt for a Social Media Manager to join our growing team. You’ll work across a range of clients, bringing fresh ideas to the table and helping brands cut through the noise with creativity, care, and strategic flair.
Who we are
We’re a B Corp-certified communications agency that puts people first – our clients, their audiences, and each other. Whether we’re managing an integrated campaign or building a brand narrative from scratch, we do it with purpose. Our team is driven, curious, transparent, invested, and deeply caring – and we’re looking for someone who shares those values.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading the development and delivery of social media strategies aligned with clients' wider comms goals.
* Creating and curating content – from scroll-stopping short-form video to insightful LinkedIn posts and Instagram stories.
* Managing day-to-day activity across platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X.
* Spotting trends and adapting fast – you’re always plugged into what’s new and what’s next.
* Collaborating with influencers where relevant to elevate our clients' reach.
* Keeping your eye on reputational risks and following escalation processes if needed.
* Championing accessible, diverse, and inclusive content in everything you do.
* Managing budgets, planning your own workload, and making sure everything is peer-reviewed and delivered on time.
* Getting out and about to capture AV content on the go – whether it’s behind-the-scenes footage at a client shoot or quick interviews at an event. You’re confident with a phone in hand and know how to turn everyday moments into engaging, brand-aligned content.
What we are looking for
* A natural storyteller across written, visual, and video content.
* A confident communicator who can work collaboratively and independently.
* Proven ability to think creatively and strategically – you know when to try something new.
* Comfortable capturing and editing video content on an iPhone or mobile device.
* At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant social media or content role – agency experience a big plus.
* Proficiency with tools such as Canva Pro, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, TikTok, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
* A passion for building brands and bringing ideas to life online.
* Flexibility to occasionally travel for client meetings and on-site content opportunities (expenses covered, of course).
* Ideally, you’ll have prior agency experience and be used to juggling priorities and deadlines.
What it’s like to work here
We believe in honest, open dialogue – with our clients and each other. You’ll meet monthly with your line manager to review goals, set KPIs, and shape your tailored professional development plan. We’re big on learning, sharing, and growing together.
We’re committed to creating a workplace that works for life - not the other way around. Here’s what you can expect:
* Optional four-day working week (Monday–Thursday, 33 hours). Part-time candidates will also be considered.
* Four duvet days per year – because sometimes, you just need a reset.
* Discretionary Christmas shutdown.
* Half a day per month to volunteer for a cause you care about.
* A genuinely kind and values-led team.
Our values
These guide everything we do – from our creative work to how we communicate with clients and each other.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
