Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Surveyor - Construction Manager to take ownership of multiple projects from inception to completion. This hybrid role combines the commercial leadership of a senior surveyor with the operational oversight of a construction manager. You'll be instrumental in delivering refurbishment works efficiently, profitably, and to an exceptional standard. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of multiple refurbishment projects (up to £500k). Oversee all commercial aspects including cost planning, tendering, valuations, and final accounts. Act as the main point of contact between the client, site teams, and subcontractors. Coordinate and manage site teams, ensuring smooth delivery and adherence to programme. Prepare and manage procurement schedules, BOQs, and cost reports. Provide input during design and pre-construction phases, including value engineering. Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. Use AutoCAD for planning, reviewing layouts, and coordinating with design teams. Report regularly to company directors on project progress, budgets, and risks. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in a dual surveyor/project or construction management role. Strong knowledge of residential and commercial refurbishment. Comfortable managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously. Skilled in both commercial and operational project oversight. Proficient in AutoCAD (desirable) and other relevant construction software. Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
