Key Responsibilities
1. Efficient Order Handling:
o Accurately picking items from inventory based on order requirements.
o Packing orders securely to prevent damage during transit.
o Dispatching orders promptly to meet delivery deadlines.
2. Inventory Management:
o Loading and unloading stock from delivery vehicles.
o Conducting regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
o Organising stock in the warehouse to optimise space utilisation.
3. Quality Control:
o Inspect items for quality and damage before packing, ensuring only the best products are shipped to customers.
o Verify that all items picked match the order specifications and are in good condition.
4. Safety and Compliance:
o Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment within the warehouse.
o Adhere to company policies regarding the handling of products, including hazardous goods where applicable.
5. Documentation:
o Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to inventory, orders, and shipping as required.
o Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track orders, tasks and inventory movements accurately.
6. General Support:
o Assisting in the maintenance of a clean and organised warehouse environment.
o Collaborating with team members to streamline warehouse operations.
o Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks or responsibilities as needed to support overall warehouse operations.
o Adjust to changing priorities, such as peak seasons or unexpected order fluctuations.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years in a warehouse environment.
* Forklift Certified License (desirable but not essential, training course can be provided).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Basic knowledge and skills for inventory management.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Good communication skills and attention to detail.
