Planning Officer (Strategic Sites)
£37,741 to £41,182 (based on 37 hours per week) inclusive annual salary + essential car user allowance, market supplement of £1000 p/a, and up to 19.7 percent employer pension contribution.
18-month fixed term contract

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Officer to support our Strategic Sites Team in delivering strategic scale development. You will be directly involved in the full cycle of the planning process from engagement in Planning Performance Agreements at the pre application stage through to the consideration and determination of planning applications. The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively within a professional team for each project, supporting the Principal Officers, Deputy Team Leader, and Team Leader as appropriate.
About you
You will be an enthusiastic and motivated town planner with a strong desire to engage in place making on a strategic scale. Educated to degree level in an appropriate subject, you will be either a member of or eligible to join the RTPI. You will have some relevant work experience in planning and will be looking to apply this experience to a new challenge. You will be a strong team player who is well organised, articulate in spoken and written communication and able to take the initiative to help drive forward individual projects and the Team’s overall objectives.
