The Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Practice is a dedicated team in providing risk and insurance solutions for large clients in the sector. We sit across the full range of sub-sectors with clients including hoteliers, pubs, restaurants, venue attractions, gambling, and all areas of retail (Online, fashion, grocery).
The role of the Account Director is to be the central connection within WTW, bringing the full range of our experience and expertise in the delivery of our service. Our clients are customer-facing companies and are passionate about their organizations; our team seeks to mirror this enthusiasm in working with and for our clients.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for retention of clients and new business development. The successful candidate will manage and develop the client relationships and grow the portfolio, including targeting and converting prospects.
The Role
1. Ultimate responsibility for the provision of the required services to the client.
2. Understand the clients’ business and their risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service.
3. Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within clients, establish and maintain active relationships with these people.
4. Provide technical, industry, and subject matter expertise where required.
5. Draw on expertise within specialist technical teams within the BU and across the Group for clients as required.
6. Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price, and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients.
7. Grow existing portfolio by identifying new opportunities from existing clients.
8. Lead (not line manage) supporting service team.
9. Maintain effective working relationships with Claims Advocates to effectively deliver clients’ needs.
10. Business Development: To actively drive the sales process in relation to winning, retaining, and developing profitable new clients.
11. Placement Management: To deliver optimization of revenue from new and existing clients using the full range of appropriate placement channels.
12. Operational and Service Delivery: To lead and deliver the end-to-end ongoing client service, adhering to standardized policies, procedures, and service standards.
