Nu Instruments was founded in 1995 and is one of the market leaders in high-end mass spectrometers with sales to many countries around the world. Nu’s head office, manufacturing facility and labs are located in North Wales, UK. Nu was acquired by AMETEK in 2016 and is part of the SPECTRO & Nu business unit.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
* Act as a business partner to Nu’s DVP Business Manager to manage a global business
* Lead annual budget process and monthly forecasts for P&L and balance sheet, including working capital
* Manage the monthly consolidation for the Nu business and related reporting requirements, including UK statutory requirements
* Ensure conformity with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and all Corporate policies
* Work closely with the corporate UK office on tax related topics
* Provide support and leadership of all internal and external audits
* Lead process improvements in month-end processes, FP&A and compliance
* Drive the organization to achieve short- and long-term business objectives
* Assist with ad hoc requests from the division or Corporate
* Report directly to the DVP BU Controller
Position Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or ACCA a plus
* Deep knowledge of US GAAP and working experience in Sarbanes-Oxley
* Minimum 10 years in controlling and accounting experience, including as a UK Qualified Accountant with experience in Management Accounts
* Very organized and strong analytical skills
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and prior HFM experience a plus
