A thrilling opportunity has arisen for a Japanese-speaking Translator to join a leading global investment firm in London. This is a permanent, full-time in-house role, working from the office Monday to Friday (no option to work from home). In return you will receive the opportunity to progress within this global investment firm along with great benefits such as generous pension scheme, medical insurance, gym sponsorship, a professional and supporting team and much more!\n\nAbout the role:\n\nThis autonomous role will offer you the opportunity to work together with the legal, marketing, sales and client relation teams to translate finance related material that will be implemented as part of the communications strategy for the Japanese market.\nYou will be responsible for translating finance related content such as brochures, presentations, newsletters and presentations from English into Japanese.\nYou will localise multiple content types such as financial, marketing, legal and educational materials.About you:\n\nDue to the financial related terminology, it is expected that you will have some previous experience in technical corporate translation, whether if it is in the field of law, economics, finance, banking, investment or asset management, be it through an educational background or work experience within a similar translation, copywriting, editorial role.
\nYou will need to have an interest in the finance sector to learn all the finance vocabulary if you don't have experience in financial technical translation yet.\n\nProfile:\n\nNative speaker of Japanese, and fluent in English\nDegree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or other professional certification related to translation or localisation\nMinimum 2 years of experience in translation, editing or content production\nExperience in the field of finance and capital markets is advantageous\nPrevious exposure to CAT tools, TMS technology, and translation practices is beneficial\nAble to work under tight deadlinesTo apply, please send your CV in English and in Word format to Marie-Anne. \nlanguagematters is acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy
